Jill Zarin Plans Funeral For Husband Bobby
Jill Zarin has planned the funeral for her husband Bobby for Monday in New York City.
The Real Housewives of New York star's stepdaughter Ally Shapiro revealed the news on her Instagram account after her dad's sad death from thyroid cancer.
A source told RadarOnline.com that Bobby's passing hit Jill, 54, hard, but it wasn't unexpected.
"Jill began telling friends that he was near the end last week and to prepare for the services. He was in and out of hospice at Sloan Kettering hospital the last few months. Everyone knew this was coming," a source told RadarOnline.com.
Bobby's stepdaughter Shapiro shared a sweet retro photo of herself kissing Bobby in a pool as a kid on Instagram, and wrote as a caption, "We ❤️ Bobby... thank you for giving me such a wonderful family and being the most incredible step-Dad anyone could ever ask for. I don’t remember a time without you, and you will not be forgotten. Every shot of patron, every time we listen to Hotel California, every vroom of a Ferrari you will be right there with us. You fought with dignity and courage, surrounded by all of us with love and respect till the very end. You can rest In peace now, we love you so much. Service held on Monday 10am January 15, 2018 at Riverside Memorial, 180 West 76th st."
As RadarOnline.com reported on Saturday, Bobby died at age 71 after a long battle with thyroid cancer.
Devoted Jill held vigil at Bobby's bedside during his final days.
She told fans at the time she was cherishing every last moment with her beloved husband.
After his death, the The RHONY star posted on the family website, "With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer."

Bobby was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2009 – he had his thyroid removed as well as undergoing radioactive iodine treatment.
It’s believed that his cancer returned last summer and he was receiving treatment in hospital after also having a brain tumor removed.
