Jill Duggar took fans by surprise by boasting that her husband Derick Dillard "works all day."
Derick currently has no known job, but he did recently announce he's attending law school after his ignominious ouster from Counting On.
On Friday, September 21, his loving wife posted an Instagram photo of Derick playing with one of their two sons with the caption, "Love this man!" He gets up early to head out before traffic gets bad, works all day, then comes home after most people and puts out more energy to invest in our boys and me!"
Jill continued in the caption, "@derickdillard you're still my fave! #forevermine❤️#manofmydreams #youvegotmyheart #imsoinlove #thankyou #gratefulwifey."
One follower asked Jill via Instagram, "Is Derick both working and studying law?"
Another asked, "Where is he working nowadays????"
One person weighed in, writing, "He doesn't work though," and another hater wrote bluntly, "Full time college is not a job! Does it pay him? No."
Derick has struggled since his controversial social media posts against transgender TV star Jazz Jennings caused him to be fired from the Duggar family reality show, Counting On in 2017.
On July 10, Derick attended "Cow Appreciation Day" free food day at Chick-fil-A with his family and faced criticism.
"Must be nice to not work and mooch off others," one person complained online.
Another wrote, "Maybe Derick can pick up a job application while he is there?"
Derick recently brought wife Jill to his law school class at the University of Arkansas, as RadarOnline.com reported.
In a shocking post to his Instagram, Derick said his "favorite study buddy" was Jill.
RadarOnline.com spoke to a spokeswoman for the college, who explained that one of Derick's professors encouraged students to bring in periodic guests.
Derick has slammed the TLC network which has continued with Counting On, starring Jill's sisters.
"I don't watch any of them," Dillard said about TLC's shows. "I'm now aware of them, but I encourage others not to watch the filth on TLC…and other networks, but you brought up TLC shows."
