Derick Dillard isn't going to let being fired from Counting On silence him! Jill Duggar's husband continued to lash out and begged for money after his controversial comments towards TLC counterpart Jazz Jennings got him canned from the series.
After TLC announced that they have cut ties with Dillard, 28, he turned to Instagram to slam those who have criticized him for his comments.
"Our culture has accepted two huge lies," the quote began. "The first is that if you disagree with someone's lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don't have to compromise conviction to be compassionate."
But Dillard didn't stop there, as he is now asking fans to donate $10,000! Dillard started yet another GoFundMe page asking for donations.
"BIG NEWS," the description read. "I am currently serving through a program at my home church, called the Cross Church School of Ministry! I am so excited about this incredible opportunity for further ministry development, and I would like to invite you to share in this excitement with me. I started a fundraiser on gofundme to raise the funding I need for various missions opportunities I will have throughout the year. I have a donations goal of $10,000. This will enable me to fulfill my specific calling to ministry this year, including trips for Gospel-advancement and humanitarian work in Northwest Arkansas, North America, and abroad."
So far Dillard has raised $2,714.
The drama started when Dillard slammed transgender star Jennings in August.
"What an oxymoron," he tweeted. "A 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God."
He added, "I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here."
Then last week, Dillard ripped the 17-year-old and her family in another hateful rant.
"I pity Jazz," Dillard, 28, tweeted of Jennings, who was diagnosed with gender identity disorder at 4 years old and transitioned from a male to a female. "4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child. It's sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what's on TV these days."
TLC then released in a statement, "We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so."
Jennings responded to the scandal, "In the face of constant ignorance and hatred I prefer to disregard negative opinions and continue moving forward with love."
