Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard still doesn't have a job – and it's because he's heading back to school, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Dillard – who was axed from the Duggar family's show, Counting On, last year after making controversial racial slurs against Jazz Jennings – is going to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law this fall, Duggar blog, Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray first reported.

According to the report, Dillard's new endeavor will replace the missionary work he has been pursuing in recent years. Dillard has been publicly mocked on his social media accounts by fans for allegedly being out of work since his TV show firing.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Dillard and TLC parted ways in the fall of 2017. The network that made his wife's oversized family famous tweeted it had "no plans" to feature Dillard in the future.

According to the blog, the cost of the law school is $16,000, leaving fans questioning how the unemployed former television star will foot the bills.

Dillard used to work in accounting at Walmart, which is headquartered in Arkansas. Meanwhile, Jill is still working as a midwife.

What do you think of Dillard's plants to become a lawyer? Let us know in the comments!
