Jen Aniston Leaned On Ex Brad Pitt Before Her Theroux Split, Source Claims
Jennifer Aniston leaned on her ex-husband Brad Pitt over the course of 15 months as her marriage to Justin Theroux crumbled, a source has reportedly claimed.
But Aniston's publicist has denied that Pitt has been her "shoulder to cry on" since her relationship with Theroux imploded.
The star's rep said the claim is "another fabrication."
According to the UK's Sunday People, however, the insider claimed, "Jen and Brad have remained close since their 2005 split, but she has leaned on him more over the past 15 months."
Also, Entertainment Tonight reporter Nancy O'Dell contended that Aniston, 49, is "friendly" with Pitt, 54, the publication stated.
Pitt famously left wife Aniston for Angelina Jolie. They later wed but also split up.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the Friends star confirmed her breakup with Theroux, 46, on Thursday, and there has been a shocking website claim that the two were never even legally married in the first place!
But it's been reported that Aniston retains strong affection for her first (and only?) husband Pitt.
O'Dell claimed, "They have each other's numbers and communicate from time to time. Jen and Brad have remained friendly."
However, O'Dell also claimed that Aniston and Pitt, who were married from 2000 to 2005, were "absolutely not together" while she was with Theroux.
Still, O'Dell contended coyly, in reference to Aniston and Pitt ever getting back together, "You cannot predict the future."
The Sunday People source claimed, "Brad has been working on getting his life and mindset back on track.
"His drive is to wrap up his divorce, set up family arrangements then perhaps think about romance. Jen and he had an amazing friendship before their love blossomed and he has always known she has a huge heart.
"After everything he put her through, she forgave him and he is overwhelmed by that.
"This a long way from a reunion…but never say never," claimed the source.
