So much for a relaxing vacation. On the heels of returning from her trip to Miami, Jenelle Evans had to deal with a major incident involving her baby daddy and ex fiancé Nathan Griffith.
According to Lt. Brewer of the New Hanover County Sheriffs Office in Wilmington, NC, Evans, 24, pressed charges against Griffith, 27, and there is now a warrant out for his arrest.
"It's a misdemeanor larceny charge," Lt. Brewer told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "She claims he took a car seat, bracelet, tanning lotion, clothing and some other items with a total value of a $1000."
Lt. Brewer added that the warrant "was issued Jan. 24, the same day as the claimed offense."
A source close to Evans reveals that this all went down the moment she exited baggage claim at the Wilmington Airport.
"Jenelle charged him with larceny yesterday," the source told RadarOnline.com. "Her attorney advised her of her options, so now there is a warrant out."
The incident began when Evans and her boyfriend David Eason couldn't locate their car in the long-term parking lot, the source said.
According to the source, they then went to the police, who then contacted Griffith about the missing vehicle.
In a video exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com, the officer can be heard calling Griffith about the car. According to the source, Griffith admitted to the officer that he took the car.
While the car is registered to both Griffith and Evans, Evans was still able to press charges against him from the items in the vehicle that did no belong to him.
"He took jewelry, an iPad, a car seat, stroller, her kids' jackets, her jacket, tanning lotion worth a lot of money, and more," the source explained. "Nathan knows where she parks the car when she is out of town and he has spare keys."
After finding out the car was missing, "Evans tried to call him and he wouldn't answer for two hours — his mother wouldn't even return her calls," the source said.
That's when Evans went to the magistrate's office to press charges.
"Jenelle is going to get a new car, so she could care less about that," the source said. "But Nathan's not the greatest person for doing it in the first place and it hurts Jenelle so bad that he would do this to his own son."
"He literally went and stole the car and didn't even visit with Kai while up there, but complains about not seeing him," the source added.
Now, as law enforcement confirmed, there is a warrant out for Griffith's arrest — but it has yet to be served.
