"Chris was worried for Ava's safety, and asked her to leave. He thought she shouldn’t be there to see her mom like that, and didn’t want her to be in harm’s way."
As RadarOnline.com has reported, Locklear, 56, was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation after threatening to shoot herself two days later on Sunday, June 17.
Locklear was in a “rage” over her fiance's alleged cheating before she was rushed to the hospital, where a law enforcement source told RadarOnline.com she remains in a 5150 hold.
She and fiancé Heisser got into an explosive fight on the Friday night before Locklear's meltdown, according to a source.

“She screamed at him and made a huge scene” in the parking lot of a local Los Angeles restaurant, the source claimed.
Locklear’s hospitalization yesterday comes months after the actress threatened to shoot police officers if they ever returned to her home following a domestic dispute in February at her home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Ava, Locklear's young daughter with rocker ex-husband Richie Sambora, was at home when her mother was arrested for allegedly beating Heisser and three police officers.
On Sunday, the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a call at Locklear’s home from a family member who dialed 911 and expressed concern for the Melrose Place star’s safety.
This time around, Heisser wanted to make sure Ava didn't have to witness the breakdown.
