RadarOnline.com learned exclusively Heather Locklear could soon face new charges after cops turned over evidence to investigators against the actress from her boozy arrest and battery on a police officer.
Ventura County Senior Deputy District Attorney Thomas Dunlevy told RadarOnline.com that he has received evidence from Sheriff's investigators on Friday, which will now go under review.
The troubled Melrose Place star was arrested for battering an offer and an emergency personnel who responded to a disturbance call at Locklear’s Thousand Oaks home on Sunday, June 24. The actress, who was “extremely intoxicated," allegedly punched a deputy in the chest and stomach and also hit an EMT, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Locklear was arrested and booked and is now out on $20,000 bail. Sources told RadarOnline.com Locklear reportedly had another breakdown hours after she bailed out of jail.
Dunlevy wouldn’t comment on the evidence presented by Sheriff’s investigators, but said Locklear's appearance date for this new case is on Aug. 23 at Ventura County Superior Court. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office has until that court date to present new charges against Locklear, but Dunlevy said Locklear could know before or on her Aug. 9 court appearance on another case.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Locklear is already facing four misdemeanor counts of battery on a peace officer and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Locklear was initially arrested on Feb. 25 on suspicion of a felony domestic violence after an alleged argument with her boyfriend, Christopher Heisser, but the troubled actress has so far dodged more serious charges.
