Heather Locklear's Legal Team Consulting Britney Spears' Conservatorship Lawyers
Nov. 20 2018, Updated 7:48 p.m. ET
After her various meltdowns, Heather Locklear's family is seeking to get her help, and protect her lifestyle despite her current mental condition.
As Us Weekly reported, a source close to the Melrose Place star said her legal team is "consulting" with Britney Spears' conservatorship lawyers.
"Heather's family feels absolutely helpless and feels this could be the only way to save her life. She won't stay in treatment and consistently checks out early," said the insider, adding that the possible conservatorship "would be of Heather as a person only, nothing involving her finances or estate."
RadarOnline.com readers know Locklear, 57, was recently placed on psychiatric hold after paramedics were called to her home following a meltdown. This Sunday, November 18 — following months of bizarre behavior — she was hospitalized as a precaution after a therapist determined she was heading down another downward spiral.
But where does Britney Spears, 36, come into the picture? Fans know the "Toxic" singer has been under the guidance of a conservatorship since 2008, after she suffered a meltdown following her divorce from Kevin Federline. And even now that she's back in the spotlight, she cannot make personal or financial decisions without the approval of her father, Jamie Spears, and lawyer Andrew Wallet — due to an apparent mental illness she was previously diagnosed with.
