Giuliana's Revenge! Rancic Gets Last Laugh In Longtime Feud With Maria Menounos

Giuliana Rancic has finally gotten revenge against her longtime rival, Maria Menounos, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

On Friday, June 15, the returning TV host, 43, announced that she would be returning to her coveted role as co-host of E! News — the position given to Menounos, 40, after Rancic was forced to step down amid a racism scandal nearly three years ago.

Now, “Giuliana is thrilled to finally have gotten her revenge," the source told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Rancic’s fall from grace went down in 2015, when the sharp-tongued brunette said during a taping of Fashion Police that African-American actress Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks “probably smelled like patchouli oil.”

Though she apologized on-air, insisting that she did not write the script, it was too late.

Immediately after stepping down, Menounos jumped right in to co-host the show, alongside Jason Kennedy.

“When Giuliana was fired for her remarks, Maria made sure she knew she got what she wanted, which was the anchor position at E!,” a source close to production told RadarOnline.com.

Although Giuliana appeared on E! in various gigs after that time, the loss of the anchor position really affected her emotionally, the source said.

“Giuliana fought really hard to regain everyone’s trust since then, even though everyone on staff believed the scandal wasn’t really her fault.”

Menounos resigned last summer after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor. She is now in good health, but has not returned to the show.

After the shocking news, an insider told RadarOnline.com execs were considering bringing Rancic back full-time to the network.

“E! fans love Giuliana,” the insider insisted.
