George Michael worked on a Christmas film before his untimely death — and fans will have the opportunity to experience the iconic singer's final project.
Michael's unreleased music will be featured in the upcoming rom-com Last Christmas.
Game of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke and Crazy Rich Asians' Henry Golding star in the film, which will be released in November 2019. The film is inspired by the Wham! 1984 song Last Christmas.
The film follows a woman named Kate, who makes a series of bad decisions while working as an elf at a year-round Christmas store before Tom comes into her life.
"As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two," the film synopsis read.
Michael was involved in the film before his death on Christmas Day in 2016. He allegedly wanted to bring "queer politics" into the film.
Bryony Kimmings, who wrote the film with Emma Thompson, said in a interview with Radio Times , "When I came on board, George was up for it. He'd already signed something to say yes. I tried to slip in some trans people and make sure there was queer politics in there… I don't know how much of that remains."
Michael passed away at age 53 from heart disease and a fatty liver.
