Dark Demons: George Michael Tormented By Fear He May Have Given Female Lovers AIDS
Before his sudden death, music icon George Michael was tormented by the fear he may have given AIDS to his string of female lovers.
In a newly-resurfaced interview with GQ, the singer says he used to sleep with many women before meeting his first serious boyfriend, Anselmo Feleppa. As soon as Feleppa was diagnosed with AIDS, however, Michael stopped bedding females, fearing he would spread the killer virus.
“I used to sleep with women quite a lot in the Wham! Days but never felt it could develop into a relationship because I was a gay man,” says Michael in the interview. At one point, he even told reporters that he wished he’d slept with Madonna before fully immersing himself in the gay lifestyle.
“I decided I had to stop, which I did when I began to worry about AIDS. I didn’t want to sleep with a woman without telling her I was bisexual,” he continues.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Kathy Yueng, one of the legend’s most famous girlfriends who also appeared in his video for “I Want Your Sex,” previously told reporters that she knew the singer was bisexual.
George’s revealing chat has recently resurfaced on online forums dedicated to the star, since fans realized he would have been 55 this June.
Michael and Feleppa had only been seeing each other for three months in 1991 when they were stunned by the Brazilian designer’s AIDS diagnosis.
