George Michael will finally be laid to rest after his family received answers three months after his death, RadarOnline.com has learned.
As Radar reported, the late singer will be buried alongside his mom at Highgate Cemetery in North London.
Eyewitnesses near the area have noticed his mother’s grave being spruced up after it was left unattended and overgrown for some time. Since Michael’s autopsy results were released, the area has suddenly been cleared and pots of yellow daffodils were seen being dropped off.
The Wham! superstar’s family is planning to hold the memorial service close to Mother’s Day. Michael’s sister, Melanie, has been in charge of making all the arrangements, while his dad, Kuriaco, 75, finalizes a private Greek-Orthodox service just for family.
“George would always make a big deal out of Mother’s Day,” the insider told the Sunday People. “He loved her so much and he would spend a lot of time talking to her there.
“Lesley was George’s world so it is fitting that they should now be together,” a source said. “The cemetery has a very special place in his heart,” added the insider.
As Radar reported, the Careless Whisper singer's official cause of death was finally revealed on March 7 after he was found dead in bed on Christmas morning. The coroner found he died of natural causes after suffering from heart disease and a fatty liver.
It’s still unclear if Michael’s controversial boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, will be banned from the service.
