Gary Shirley Takes DNA Test Amid Pregnant Ex Amber Portwood’s Paternity Scandal

While Amber Portwood has been involved in a paternity scandal, her baby daddy Gary Shirley is at the center of one too. In a clip for this week’s Teen Mom OG, Shirley takes a paternity test to find out who his biological father is.

“How are you feeling for your paternity test?” his wife Kristina asked him, as she added, “Who’s your daddy? You want him ultimately to be your dad.”

Shirley added, “I’ve forgiven him for not being there and things like that. We are where we are now… Where he’s part of my life. I want him to be my dad. Ultimately, I don’t know. We’ll see when the results get here.”

The clip comes as Portwood, the mother of his daughter Leah, 9, has been involved in a paternity scandal of her own.

When her May 13 due date was revealed, fans began speculating her ex-fiancé Matt Baier is the father of her son instead of new boyfriend Andrew Glennon.

“Now everyone can go see what or who Amber was doing on August 20, 2017,” a Portwood Twitter parody wrote.

Fans over Reddit and Twitter believed it could be Baier’s baby because Portwood was fighting with Glennon at the time of conception.

As RadarOnline.com reported in August, two ex-girlfriends hit Glennon with restraining orders – the first was granted for three years, while the second was dismissed.

“This is jeopardizing our relationship, which tears my heart,” he exclusively told RadarOnline.com at the time. “She is still processing. Right now everything is up in the air.”

Shirley even questioned if Glennon is the father.

“It had to be within a week of them hanging out,” he said of when they conceived. “Hopefully it’s not Matt’s.”

His wife added, “I think there was a break between Matt and Andrew. I think. I don’t know.”

But Portwood shut down the rumors, tweeting, “Me and Matt broke up in May lol.”

A source close to Baier told RadarOnline.com, “That would be physically impossible. They broke up and he moved to Las Vegas July 3. The baby had to be conceived in August. She never came to visit him in August. It’s definitely not his.”
