Beth Chapman, star of Dog the Bounty Hunter, revealed that she’s not feeling positive about her fight against stage 2 throat cancer.

“As I start this battle, I don’t see a lot of optimism,” Beth, 49, noted in a clip for Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives, the reality star’s A&E special, which will detail her and her husband Duane’s experiences dealing with the potentially deadly disease. “They give me 50/50 chances.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Beth, 50, had to undergo emergency surgery after she received her shocking diagnosis.

“After months of a nagging cough, a routine checkup resulted in a diagnosis of Stage 2 throat cancer,” Beth wrote of fighting cancer in an emotional letter she penned to friends. “I have what is referred to as a T2 Tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses.”

“I’ve stared down the devil more than once in my life but I’ve never faced a real life or death decision,” she added.

While Beth appeared uncertain about what the future holds, her husband Duane, 64, has been more resolute in his conviction she will beat throat cancer.

“Cancer picked on the wrong woman,” he said.
