Meghan Markle 'Asked For Air Fresheners' For Her Windsor Castle Wedding To Harry
Meghan Markle's diva reputation continues as new information has leaked out about her wedding to Prince Harry.
According to Daily Mail sources, Markle wanted an improvement before she walked down the aisle at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May.
The Mail's sources said Markle, now 37 and pregnant, was bugged by the musty odor of the 15th century chapel, "who asked for air fresheners to be deployed before her guests arrived."
Markle allegedly requested from her office at Kensington Palace at the time that atomizers – hand-held devices for spraying water or perfume – be used to create a pleasant aroma for the wedding guests.
However, anything to do with St. George's chapel – the venue Queen Victoria's marriage and burial place of ten monarchs – is a matter the Queen must decide.
Royal family staffers reportedly told Markle that the historic chapel, which has been a regular place of worship for Queen Elizabeth as well as countless other British monarchs, would have to do as is.
The source said, "Apparently Meghan didn't like the smell of the chapel, which, as you would expect, is a little musty. It's not unpleasant at all, though. It just smells how you would expect an old building to smell. And that's something the Royal Family are particularly used to.
"Meghan wanted staff to go around with these atomizers, like spritzer guns, and spray the chapel with scent before anyone arrived.
"Royal Household staff stepped in and told her office politely, but firmly, that this was the Queen's Chapel and it simply wasn't appropriate," the source noted.
Rumors have flown about the former Suits star's diva ways.
In royal biographer Robert Jobson's book Charles at 70: Thoughts, Hopes and Dreams, he claimed that before the wedding, Prince Harry, 34, raised his voice and yelled, "What Meghan wants, she gets!"

Also, there are allegations that the Queen warned Harry about "difficult" Markle's attitude after a dispute over what tiara she could wear on her wedding day.
Bride-to-be Markle reportedly wished to wear a tiara with emeralds but was refused after its origins could not be established.
The former actress eventually wore a diamond and platinum headpiece selected by the Queen.
But alarm bells also went off after Markle's personal assistant resigned just six months into the job, according to the Daily Mail.
And royal correspondent Richard Palmer has written, "It is clear that Meghan is regarded as difficult and demanding by some in the family and on the staff."
Also, Markle and Prince Harry will no longer be living near Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.
They are set to move out of Kensington Palace to live in Frogmore Cottage, Windsor, early next year, which has also created talk about Markle's influence on Harry.
