Just a little over a week after she was rushed to the Emergency Room for a drug overdose, off-the-rails Demi Lovato is expected to be released from the hospital "within 48 hours," can reveal exclusively.

The troubled singer is said to be heading straight to rehab, an informant says, adding Lovato, 25, is taking it "day by day" since her OD nightmare.

Cops were called to Lovato’s Hollywood Hills house on Tuesday, July 24 for a drug overdose after her assistant found her unresponsive in bed just before noon. Law enforcement sources claimed she was revived with Narcan, which treats opiate overdoses.

The overdose came after a wild night of partying at Saddle Ranch in Hollywood, and then an after-party in the singer's home.

A source told last Thursday that she had completed a detox and was expected to leave the medical facility within a few days, but her condition worsened and had to stay under medical care over the weekend.

Lovato fell so far down the rabbit hole, sources told exclusively she was sticking needles in her arms to get high.

“Demi had evidence of intravenous drug use when she was taken to the hospital after her drug overdose last week,” an insider said. “The physical signs were on her arms.”

She celebrated six years of sobriety earlier this year before falling off the wagon.
