Dean McDermott Facing Jail Over $100K Child Support Payments
Dean McDermott's ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace has threatened to send the star to jail if he fails to pay his half in child support by next week, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The two faced off in a Los Angeles court on Thursday, just five days after McDermott's wife Tori Spelling gave birth to their fifth child.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, 50-year-old McDermott was held in contempt of court for reportedly not paying thousands of dollars to his ex in child support for their son, Jack, now 18.
"He just stopped paying," Eustace wrote in the court order to show cause and affidavit for contempt, filed on January 25. "He is working and lives in a $2 million dollar rental."
But before putting him behind bars, Judge Colin Leis called a recess, urging the pair to work things out on their own. In the photos of their confrontation captured at the scene, McDermott appears sweaty and nervous, emotions running high.

Eustace withdrew the complaint, sparing her ex from jail time, after the pair agreed McDermott would pay his half by Monday. But, sources told Page Six she won't hesitate to re-file as early as Tuesday if he doesn't come up with the money.
In court, McDermott claimed he had "fallen on hard times." Of course, RadarOnline.com readers know, the actor's wife has quite the spending habit.
Soon after announcement Spelling's pregnancy last year, the 90210 star was sued once again by American Express over unpaid credit card debt.
According to court documents, obtained by E! News, Spelling failed to pay $87,594.55 in fees on one of her American Express platinum credit cards. A copy of the card statement from AmEx was included in the documents, revealing it was cancelled on April 27, 2016 with the shocking unpaid balance.
