Danielle Staub’s infamous raunchy sex romp was cut from the Real Housewives of New Jersey's latest episode— and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive details behind the shocking decision.

As RadarOnline.com first reported last summer, Staub and boyfriend Marty Caffrey had a wild tryst in the bathroom during Melissa and Joe Gorga's restaurant opening in May, which was captured by Bravo's cameras.

Sources claimed Staub even bragged about having ejaculation on her shoe — which led costar and enemy Dolores Catania to flip out.

Since producers love drama, why didn't the scene make the cut?

"Production is protecting Danielle," a source exclusively told RadarOnline.com. "She is trying to clean up her image."

The source also claimed Staub threatened legal action against the RHONJ production company if the footage aired.

Even her costars were shocked the clip fell to the editing room floor.
