Christy McGinity filed for an annulment to end her five-year marriage to Todd Gibel. In the court papers, she accused him of verbal and physical abuse throughout their relationship. In an exclusive clip for this week’s Little Women: LA, Christy revealed more shocking details from her marriage from hell.
In the preview clip, Christy cried to friend Susanna about her tumultuous marriage.
“He has very little mobility right now,” she said. “He has needed knee surgery, we found out he needs hip surgery. He’s been doing all this stuff to get prepped for knee surgery. But he’s not doing the prep. Now I’m irritated because I’ve been dealing with this since the day I met him and it got progressively worse.”
When Susanna said that he likes Christy to baby him, she revealed more sad details.
“Girl, I need to put his shoes on,” she said. “When he was at his biggest, I had to wipe his butt! He can’t get anywhere. When I met him he was so self sufficient, he had a great job, took me out on dates. There is no passion at all.”
She then revealed that they haven’t even been on a honeymoon yet.
“We haven’t taken a honeymoon cause we’re waiting for his leg to feel better,” she said. “I want to have fun with my partner and I’m alone all the time. We worked so hard together to lose this much weight... I want to enjoy it with him.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, she filed a domestic violence protection order against him, where she claimed he had a “volatile temper.” The order was granted temporarily.
In the protection order request, she accused him of making derogatory remarks towards her, blackmailing her, ripping up her mail and more.
During 4th of July weekend in 2015, she claimed he became physically abusive.
Christy then filed for an annulment on June 21, claiming he used her for fame, applied for unemployment compensation under her name and more.
Christy has since moved on. She’s currently in a long-distance relationship with new boyfriend Gonzo Carazo.
“I always loved him, but it was a friendship love,” Christy explained in a video interview to RadarOnline.com, alongside her boyfriend. “We always said, ‘I love you.’ I noticed it became different was when I said ‘I…’ Then the next day we talked. I said, ‘I love you.’ And he said, ‘I love you too.’ That was the moment.”
