Cher's Former Boytoy Tom Cruise 'Dreads' Her Upcoming Kiss & Tell Memoir

Hollywood icon Cher is finally writing her autobiography, but former beau Tom Cruise is dreading it, according to the Sunday Mirror. The singer/actress, 72, has been working on her memoir, titled "Honest," and no doubt won't avoid dishing on Cruise, whom she dated in the 1980s—and called one of her top five lovers!

Cher has talked about her fling with the future Mission Impossible star but hasn't gone into great detail. The star's memoir might be her fans chance to read all about her thoughts on Cruise, 56, including his Scientology beliefs.

The two met in 1985 at Sean Penn and Madonna’s wedding and started dating that same year. The romance didn't last long. A source on the set of Cruise's new film Top Gun 2 told the Sunday Mirror that he wasn’t very pleased when he heard about Cher's tell-all memoir. "Everyone knew he wasn’t happy – it seemed like a bit of a touchy subject," the insider said.

Cher previously described to the Mail on Sunday how she and Cruise had bonded: "A bunch of people who were dyslexic were invited to the White House, and Tom and I are both dyslexic. We didn’t go out till way later, but there definitely was a connection there."

The "Believe" singer added that she’s still friends with Cruise, noting, "Though I don’t get what he does, that whole Scientology thing. I can’t understand it so I just… don’t.”

As RadarOnline.com has reported, Cruise's Church activities have caused controversy in the past.

Speaking about her book, Cher has noted, "I just made the deal, but I have no time frame. It’s going to take me a while because I have a lot to tell.

"I will grit my teeth through the whole thing because I’ll have to be honest.”

So far, Cruise hasn't commented on the Sunday Mirror report.
