A celebrity chef really knows how to burn the police!

Gordon Ramsay has admitted he avoids speeding camera fines in the U.S. by putting Saran wrap around his Ferrari's license plate.

The reality TV Hell's Kitchen star, 51, told the Mirror in his native U.K. that the police don't pull him over in America because of his transparent trick.

Ramsey has been spotted roaring around Los Angeles in his expensive car and claims the wrap, which he also uses in cooking, reflects speed camera flashes and stops his high-speed cars from being identified!

"I drive my cars at night when no one sees me," Ramsay revealed. "I'll take it out at 2:30 in the morning on the freeway and I'll blast on the motorway and no police catch me and no cameras because I wrap my number plates with cling film.

"It's a great thing for a chef when they get your own Ferrari, just wrap it with cling film. It won't photograph, it reflects."

Ramsay, known for screaming expletives in the kitchen as he teaches aspiring chefs, has no shame about recommending the license plate maneuver.

"It's a great tip. I'm trying to help you... So get rolls of cling film when you get your Ferrari and wrap the front so you won't get caught speeding," he said.

While the Los Angeles speed limit on freeways is usually 65 mph, Ramsay's Ferrari California T can move almost three times that fast.

Ramsay is no stranger to controversy on TV and in his personal life. He has come under fire for sitting in first class on an airplane while his four kids languished back in the economy section. But the famous chef explained he teaches his children the value of a dollar.

However, tough love Ramsay has visited some ritzy vacation spots with his wife and kids and he loves luxury cars!
