Prince Charles' Wife Camilla Will Snub Princess Eugenie's Wedding!
Feb. 25 2019, Updated 11:38 a.m. ET
Prince Charles' wife Camilla Parker Bowles won't attend his niece Princess Eugenie's wedding this Friday because of a prior commitment.
Eugenie, the daughter of Charles' brother Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is set to walk down the aisle on October 12 in England.
But Camilla won't be a guest because she's already booked to attend a school event near her Scottish home. It was reportedly set up earlier than the scheduling of Eugenie's wedding date.
"When this date was proposed, she said that regrettably she couldn't come," a source told the British publication. "The family understood, particularly Eugenie, and were fine about it owing to her previous commitment. Camilla didn't want to let anyone down."
Another insider added, "Eugenie and her parents wanted her to change her mind. But Camilla said she had a prior commitment and couldn't."
Eugenie is tying the knot with wine merchant Jack Brooksbank and the wedding has caused controversy.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, British taxpayers didn't mind footing the bill for Prince Harry's royal wedding to Meghan Markle.
But when it comes to Eugenie's ceremony, her public is not happy about paying!
An internet petition circulated in which Brits called for the "House of Commons to urge the Government to commit no public money to the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and to publish a report of all costs to taxpayers."
It's as yet unclear if the royal family will cover some of the costs.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Eugenie, 28, plans a blowout wedding to Brooksbank, 32.
There will be two days of festivities because Eugenie wants her ceremony to rival Markle's to Harry, a source claimed to RadarOnline.com.
"Eugenie also wants an A-list guest list, just like Meghan."
Prince Andrew's daughter is set to walk down the aisle with her groom at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle– the same church where Harry and Markle wed.
And she might get her wish on prominent guests as other Royals and A-listers are planning to attend the ceremony on Friday, including George and Amal Clooney, who also made the royal scene at Markle and Harry's wedding in May.
Following the wedding will be a castle reception, followed by a second reception at Eugenie's father Prince Andrew's Royal Lodge home.
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and newlyweds Prince Harry and Markle are also expected to be among the 400 guests.
