Ben Affleck & Jen Garner Attend Heart-Wrenching Therapy Sessions In Rehab

Ben Affleck wept as he and wife Jennifer Garner sat through a brutal two-hour “confession session” at his latest rehab facility, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to a source, the actor sat red-faced as he opened up about his affairs with their former nanny Christine Ouzounian and his other flings in order to create a “clean slate” with Garner for the sake of their kids.
“This is the latest sad chapter in Ben’s rehab journey,” the insider revealed. “He’s finding the process really painful, and this did nothing to help.”
As RadarOnline.com recently reported, Garner and their three children — Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6 — have been joining Affleck in treatment “and are getting family counseling and intense therapy sessions.”
Despite the intense emotions he’s feeling, Affleck, 46, seems ready to do the work.
“He’s with therapists who are all about delivering vigorous psychological help, and they told him getting all his uncomfortable secrets out in the open with his loved ones is key to his eventual recovery,” said the insider.
Affleck will also be ordered to go through another “confession session” to detail the exact extent of his boozing.
“It’s one step at a time when it comes to these sessions,” noted the insider. “Ben can’t be expected to spill his guts about everything all at once.”
And Affleck isn’t the only one having a tough time navigating the recovery process — his ex, Garner, is also trying her best to deal.
“He and Jen both ended up in tears by the end of his first session where he opened up about his affair and relationships since his split with Jennifer,” said the insider, noting, “It opened up a lot of wounds.”
Still, “They came out it feeling more positive and things are slowly getting better.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Affleck had been drinking alone for days at his Los Angeles home before Garner picked him up and drove him to begin his latest stint in rehab at The Canyons in Malibu on August 22.
