Avicii To Have Private Funeral After Suspected Suicide, Family Confirms
Avicii will have a private funeral — his family has confirmed — one month after his tragic death.
"There have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii," the iconic DJ's heartbroken family said in a statement to Billboard. "The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming."
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Avicii was found dead in his Oman hotel room this past April 20. He was 28 at the time.
At the time, a spokesperson at the Muscat Governorate Police Headquarters exclusively told RadarOnline.com that drugs were discovered at the scene. The shocking news came after the musician's family suggested Avicii had committed suicide.
"He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer," they said in a statement following his sad death.
