Artie Lange's sentencing date on possession of heroin charges has been postponed to next month following the comedian's consistent health struggles, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

The troubled comedian's Attorney Frank Arleo told Radar in a statement, "Sentencing was adjourned for two reasons: Artie was in and out of the hospital for a diabetes issue. Also, he was never interviewed by the Probation Department, which prepares a sentencing report for the judge. We expect to take care of that within the next two weeks."

According to Arleo, Lange's next court date on March 16 could also be postponed.

"March 16 may get adjourned depending on whether the report is done in time and whether Artie is well enough to attend," he explained.

Arleo confirmed Lange, 50, is not currently in the hospital.

According to Prosecutor Kathy Carter of the Essex County Court, Arleo is still expected to make an appearance in court on Friday to explain to the judge Lange's health problems.

"His attorney will be in court tomorrow to give the judge an update on his situation," Carter said.

Lange pled guilty to possession of heroin charges on December 15.

Lange has been admitted to the hospital several times in recent months for health issues related to drug use, diabetes and asthma.

In July, he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Then in October, Lange suffered a blood sugar issue that required emergency hospitalization.

NJ.com was the first to report on the Crashing star's hospitalization.
