‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Ariana Madix Defends Brother’s Shady Past

Ariana Madix is standing by her troubled brother, RadarOnline.com has learned!

Jeremy, 24, is currently living in Los Angeles with his girlfriend after moving in with Ariana and her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, this summer. He previously lived with his ex-girlfriend in Melbourne, Fla. before he was arrested for beating and threatening to kill her.

The cops were called to their home multiple times before they broke up, and his ex even begged a judge to put him in alcohol counseling after one of their explosive fights!

"He was selling insurance to make ends meet, save up money, and get the heck of out Florida," the SURver told The Daily Dish of his past.

"I'm just really proud of him,” Ariana exclaimed. “I'm proud of the fact that he made the move to L.A. He's always wanted to live in California. And to see him really put forth so much effort and really just make it happen for himself, I'm really proud of him for doing that, for making his dreams be a reality."

"Jerbear, to me he's always gonna be this 11-year-old boy that calls me 'Sissy' and wants me to watch him play baseball in the front yard," she explained.

"I've always been really protective of him,” she added. “In elementary school, because he used to get made fun of when he was super little, I left my class, went to the recess of another class to bitch out this bully girl, whatever. You've got to do what you've got to do."

Ariana, 31, and Jeremy aren’t strangers to fighting — as they grew up in an extremely hostile home.

Their parents divorced twice, and the cops were called to their home after their father bashed their mother for being “a slob” who “never cleaned the house.”

Their father died in 2013 around the time of Ariana’s birthday.
