Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Mac Miller's family and friends gathered in L.A. last night for a tribute concert, but there was one person noticeably absent from the emotional event — ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande.

After the "No Tears Left To Cry" singer posted a photo on Instagram while wearing Miller's signature hoodie, a source close to the young beauty told RadarOnline.com exclusively that she did not attend because his death "is still too painful for Ariana."

"She is still deeply grieving and chose to pay respect in her own way," the friend told RadarOnline.com.

Grande shared a photo on Instagram of herself and Miller's beloved dog while sporting a hooded sweatshirt of her late ex, which read, "I'm not a rapper."

At last night's event, Miller's immediate family and friends gathered, as well as musician pals such as John Mayer, Travis Scott and Chance the Rapper.

As fans know, following Miller's drug overdose death in September, Grande ended her six-month romance with former fiance, Pete Davidson, 26.

Aside from continuing with therapy, the friend told RadarOnline.com that "Ariana is now focusing her time and energy on her music and upcoming tour, which she is very excited about."

"It's what Mac would want," another source added.
