Snubbed! Ariana Grande Leaves MTV EMAs With No Awards
Nov. 5 2018, Updated 1:56 p.m. ET
Ariana Grande released a record-breaking pop-song following her double heartbreak, but despite the catchiness of the single and the success of her last album, the singer didn't take home any awards after this Sunday's 2018 MTV EMAs.
The 25-year-old was nominated for five awards: Best Artist, Best Video, Best Song, Best Pop and Best US Act for her hit song "No Tears Left to Cry." And while she was certainly a fan-favorite, the stunner went home with nothing but praise.
BFF Camila Cabello turned out to be the big winner of the night, as she left the Bilbao, Spain ceremony with four awards: Best Artist, Best US Act, Best Song and Best Video for "Havana." During her acceptance speech, the former Fifth Harmony star gave a shout-out to Grande, her "wife," and said she felt extremely lucky to be in the presence of such talented performers.
While Grande may not have received any big awards at the MTV EMAs, she seems to be doing just fine, as that same evening she released her new single, "thank u, next," a comeback track about her recent breakup from Pete Davidson.
