I Want Out! Angelina Begs Judge To Speed Up Divorce From Brad

Angelina Jolie wants to get divorced from Brad Pitt ASAP and has asked a judge to help navigate what could be a long and nasty court battle!

In documents obtained by RadarOnline.com and filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, Jolie is asking the court for a case management conference where the actress intends ask the judge for a bifurcation of her marital status. That means Jolie wants to restore her single status right away — even before other issues such as child custody, alimony and division of property have been finalized.

In California, divorces could take at least six months or more to complete, but this allows both parties to get their single status right away for a variety of reasons, such as tax purposes.

It looks like Pitt is also ready to get his single status back. According to the court docs filed by Jolie’s new attorney on the case, San Francisco-based attorney Samantha Bley DeJean:

“Given the parties are in agreement to proceed with the bifurcation of marital status, it is Petitioner’s (Jolie) desire to avoid the necessity of a motion and instead intends to work together with Respondent’s (Pitt) counsel on this issue (with the assistance and oversight of the Court, as needed). In order to ensure that this objective is timely met Petitioner seeks a Case Management Conference to address any issues that arise as to any of the aforementioned prerequisites to entry of Judgement.”

Jolie is also taking Pitt to task concerning child support he allegedly had failed to pay. She is also asking the judge to order the actor to pay the child support he has missed:

“As of present, Respondent has paid no meaningful child support since separation. Given that the informal arrangements around the payment of the children’s expenses have not been regularly sustained by the Respondent for over a year and a half, Petitioner intends to file an RFO (request for order) for the establishment of a retroactive child support order."

The actress filed for divorce in September 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
