How Andy Cohen Kept Baby Bombshell Top Secret

How do you keep a bunch of women – whose only job is to gossip – from spilling your pregnancy secret? RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively you simply don’t tell them. That’s how dad-to-be Andy Cohen handled the Real Housewives of New York, before revealing that he is welcoming his first child via surrogate in just six weeks.

“None of the Real Housewives knew. They can’t be trusted and gossip too much,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “Plus, he knew one of them would leak it on social media to get more followers!”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Cohen admitted his impeding fatherhood on live tv in December.

“Tonight, I want you to be the first to know, after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan in about six weeks’ time I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future,” Cohen revealed, holding back tears.

Insiders say just a few close, select friends really knew the truth.

“Anderson Cooper and Sarah Jessica Parker knew along with his family and a few close friends,” the source continued. “But he kept the secret by telling almost nobody!”

RadarOnline.com has learned Cohen plans to take some time off from his hosting duties to focus on being a single father. In March, Cohen split with his boyfriend of two years, Harvard PhD student Clifton Dassuncao, 31. Since then, he has been focused on starting a family, and figuring out how to do it.

Some fans have even speculated that Bethenny Frankel’s recent allergic reaction to fish is really just an excuse to serve as a substitute baby mama.

“Bethenny being his secret surrogate is 100% not true!” the source explained to RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Andy is no longer as close with Bethenny anymore.”
