Fighting Back! ‘Alaskan Bush' Star Noah’s New Wife Didn't Copy His Sister

Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown’s new wife’s legal name change from Ruth to Rhain last year sparked some serious drama with his siblings, especially with his teen sister Rain, who refuses to accept her new sister-in-law into their family.

According to multiple sources, teen Rain believes older Rhain stole her name in a "single white female" move, but in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, the newlywed's mother insisted her daughter has always gone by the moniker.

Rhain’s mother Marilyn Merrill told RadarOnline.com that her daughter “has been going by the name Rhain since she was 12 years old!”

“Rhain was in junior high when she told me that she was no longer going to be called Ruth anymore."

“She told me that she wanted to be called Rhain, and I thought that it was a beautiful name choice. Her father Ward and I, as well as everyone who knows her, has called her Rhain ever since.”

The Merrills are big fans of their daughter's reality TV star husband, Marilyn insisted.

“I called Rhain up this morning and said, ‘Hello Mrs. Brown,’” added Marilyn, who attended her daughter’s recent wedding in Idaho.

"She is so happy and is so in love. She is ecstatic to take her pets and move to Washington to start her new life with her husband Noah. And we are happy for her.”

“The Brown’s are such wonderful people and Noah’s mother Ami seemed so sweet. She’s such a good woman. And of course we watch their TV show!”
