Academy At Center Of Racial Discrimination Lawsuit - Details
An employee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has filed a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination.
The plaintiff Nnabueze Chukunta claims he is the victim of 'widespread racial and national origin discrimination and harassment' at the hands of the Academy and its employees.
Chukunta is also suing theater manager, Richard Stermer, who is employed by the Academy.
The plaintiff alleges his co-workers say racist comments like "We have a black", "My Nigga", "Uncle Ben" and "My Wayward Son" among other slurs.
