While Tyler Baltierra’s wife Catelynn Lowell is working on herself in rehab, her husband is working on shedding weight at home! The Teen Mom OG dad turned to social media to show off his extreme weight loss.
Tyler, is that you? The father of Nova, 3, shared a before-and-after photo of his transformation. “26lbs DOWN,” he captioned the photo. “To be honest, I didn’t even want to take a before picture, because I was already thinking of me not sticking with it and then having the evidence of failure to look back on. But DAYYUMM dude! This got me feeling some type of way right now! Left picture was almost 5 weeks ago & right picture was today.”
Baltierra credited his weight loss to his strict eating regime. “Coffee and a piece of toast for breakfast (the ONLY carb I eat),” he wrote on Snapchat. “Then an apple for lunch and a salmon, chicken or sliced steak salad for dinner. No snacking! (Unless it’s an apple or orange.) The weight just melts off, BOOM!”
But Baltierra didn’t stop there, as he also shared a shirtless photo after the weight loss.
Baltierra’s new look comes just days after his wife revealed she’s heading back to rehab for the third time. “Well they say third time’s a charm,” she tweeted. “I’m going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds.” She explained how she is seeking help for “childhood trauma.”
Lowell went to rehab for anxiety and depression in 2016. She then checked into rehab on November 17 after experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Weight issues have been a struggle for the couple, as they both have vowed to lose weight in the past. Baltierra even made fun of Lowell’s weight on an episode. “That’s a big a** quesadilla, it has a lot of chicken,” he said while she ate. “It’s your body, you could do what you want. Obviously I don’t want no heifer for a wife!” He continued, “Would you want to be married to some big heifer?”
