Cruise, 55, has been designing his new digs for over a year. As Radar reported, the penthouse features a $500,000 pool, $1 million movie theater and a state-of-the-art gym. Scientology blogger Tony Ortega was the first to report the news of the move on his blog, The Underground Bunker.
But on Wednesday, Feb. 6, Irwin told Radar that city officials took major steps to keep his move hush-hush. Shown here in this photo, Irwin said, “They blocked off the street for the last three days. They’ve been craning everything in.”
Cruise’s sprawling home consists of the top floors of the Scientology building. According to Irwin, movers lifted “light fixtures, cabinets, and custom furniture all day and night.”
As Radar reported, employees of Cruise’s new building were informed to keep details of the actor’s new home under the radar. According to Irwin, the movers, seen here, confirmed they were “not allowed to talk.”
Irwin claimed Tom’s been staying with his sister, who also lives in the Scientology-owned building, as his lair was getting its finishing touches.
Irwin, shown here with Cruise’s fellow Scientologist, John Travolta, told Radar that Cruise’s building is equipped with signal blockers as an attempt to keep out intruders and photographers from photographing the multi-million dollar residence.
A source previously dished to Radar that Cruise’s new home is known as “the Tower of Tom” to locals
The penthouse features a balcony that wraps around the building and overlooks the church of Scientology. Irwin previously told Radar that Cruise is also known as the “king of the hill.”
According to Irwin, Cruise has remained under disguise in the days leading up to his big move. “He’s such a little dude that I can pick him out no problem!” Irwin explained. “He was wearing a long blonde hair wig the last time I saw him.
Shown here, movers and construction workers swarmed the streets to organize Cruise’s move.
