The stars of Teen Mom OG have been filming for the upcoming season despite a drop in ratings following Farrah Abraham’s firing. After the additions of Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd, MTV is pulling out all the stops to save the series! RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the changes that will be made next season.
“There’s been talk about more airtime for certain friends and family,” a source close to production told RadarOnline.com. “Tyler Baltierra’s friend River Ceballos has been approached by MTV to film scenes with him.”
As RadarOnline.com broke, Portwood has decided to return to the series after quitting. “She had second thoughts about leaving. She now wants to stay with the MTV family and share her story,” an insider previously told RadarOnline.com. “Because of the fans, and her ten-year history on the show, she doesn’t want to leave abruptly.”
After original cast members Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell were left in the dark about Palin and Floyd joining the show, producers agreed to have more communication with them. “The OGs will get a heads up on major changes and new members,” the insider said.
Palin’s baby daddy Levi Johnson and his wife Sunny appeared on the most recent season of Teen Mom OG. Although they didn't have much screen time, they are returning next season. “We’re filming,” Sunny revealed during an Instagram Q&A of the upcoming season. “Who knows what they will end up using though.”

In addition to giving family and friends more airtime, it appears there will be crossover. Lowell revealed on Instagram live that Baltierra visited Palin’s ex-husband Dakota Meyer in Texas.
As RadarOnline.com broke, the October 2018 premiere of TMOG brought in 957,000 viewers. The season before, which featured Abraham, brought in 1,319,000 viewers.
Teen Mom 2 continues to go strong. According to TV By The Numbers, the premiere brought in 1,184,000.
