Taylor Swift’s Day Out With Her Mom
Swift is an international superstar with a gaggle of fans all over the world, and nary a sex tape or naked photo in sight. But the statuesque blonde singer was headed for fame before she was even a teenager, and her former guitar teacher told Heat magazine that she has a momager who rivals Kris Jenner.

"Taylor was a great kid. You could tell she had a talent," Swift's former guitar teacher Ronnie Cramer told Britain's Heat magazine. Cramer started teaching Swift how to play guitar in July 2002. "My brother was her vocal coach from when she was nine years old, and before that she was always performing," he said. "Her parents, Andrea and Scott, would take her to singing venues and she'd sing karaoke. She was doing professional photo-shoots from the age of four, so she got used to the cameras.

Swift's former teacher told Heat that her parents wanted to make sure she could get attention. "They got me on board because they realized no one would notice this kid," he claimed. "Back then, no young girl played a l2-string guitar and sung. She would be the first."

The magazine states that Swift took three-hour lessons with Ronnie twice a week, but it was her mom Andrea who was the driving force behind her daughter's progress. "Her mom, Andrea, was the boss and she was pushy," he told Heat.

Now known as the geeky girl next door who never gets the guy, Swift saw her image shaped by her mom, he claims. "Taylor was marketed to be the perfectly packaged star - and she was keen," he said. "She would play all the time - I'd turn up and she'd have the guitar in her hand showing me songs she'd written. Her mom was strict with her, but it worked."

Shockingly, Cramer claims he recalls Swift's mother making sure her daughter's image was perfect, and that included controlling her diet. "Andrea came back from Taco Bell, and as soon as she came in, the kids Taylor and her brother Austin went running over. Taylor was tempted by the Taco Bell, but ate a salad instead," he claimed. "I remember her mom once saying … nobody wants to see a fat pop star."

Even Swift herself has admitted that she was reared by a strict mother. "My parents were very strict about education and hard work from the time my brother and l were really little," she told Esquire magazine "Mom is calculated, logical, business minded - kind, but very direct," she added in an interview with Vogue.
