Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham sure had fun! Taylor, sporting furry ear muffs, could still hear her friend—she appeared to be smiling at something the Girls star said as they held hands and strolled around Manhattan on Saturday.

Swift, 25, listened closely to Dunham, 28, as they clutched hands on a chilly New York day. While the pop singer wore a brown poncho-style coat and teetered around on black platform booties, Dunham opted for a powder pink coat, leggings, and lower-heeled boots that looked much more comfortable!

Dunham made a point as she walked with BFF Swift. Last week, Swift shared a photo on Instagram of the necklace Dunham bought her for her birthday, which features an image of her cat Olivia Benson, and wrote that it is her “new most cherished possession.”

The besties shared a lot of face time on their walk. Has Dunham been getting fashion tips from Swift, who usually favors a classic look? Dunham carried a big cheerful plaid purse and wore some nerdy yet cool sunglasses.

Dunham pursed her lips as she and the “I Knew You Were Trouble” hit maker passed the big buildings in NYC. The two stars began their friendship on Twitter, as Swift praised Dunham’s show Girls.The TV actress then sent Swift a private message and told her, “I am so excited about the prospect of being friends with you that I added the adjective best in front of it... The idea that you like my show is so thrilling, and I can't wait to lavish you with praise in person.”
