"Brad and Angelina were only coming from a place of love and only wanting the best for Shiloh," an insider told Radar. "They want Shiloh to feel loved and secure."
"Shiloh is very headstrong, and has insisted on wearing boys' clothes for more than six years," the source said. "Brad was concerned having two older brothers was perhaps influencing Shiloh, and wondered if she would do so if there were no boys in the family."
After meeting with the expert,"Brad was told Shiloh would have gravitated towards dressing as a boy, and being called John, even if her siblings were all girls," the source claimed. "It's just the way Shiloh is, and there is nothing per se that they did wrong as parents."
"Angelina is very accepting of Shiloh's choices, and Brad is as well," the source claimed. "However, Brad wondered if Shiloh was just a tomboy and would outgrow it."

Though some have been quick to call her transgender -- Amber Rose even called Shiloh a "transkid" -- the source pointed out, "Shiloh could be a tomboy, and as a teenager could become the most girly girl. There are no concrete answers. Brad and Angelina are committed to giving Shiloh a loving family environment."
According to the source, the expert said "that their nomadic lifestyle, uprooting the kids for their various movie shoots was keeping Shiloh from interacting with her peers in a traditional school. All of the kids are tutored. It's crucial at this stage in Shiloh's development that she be around as many other kids as possible. Being home schooled and tutored is keeping Shiloh's world very small."
"Shiloh is closest to older brother, Pax, 11. Pax is shy, and Shiloh is his protector. The two can play video games for hours."
"Brad and Angelina try to spend one-on-one time with their six children, and the expert commended Angie for recently taking Shiloh with her on humanitarian visit to Syria."
"The worst thing Shiloh's parents could do would be to force her to wear dresses and play with dolls," the source said. "This is the last thing Brad or Angelina would ever do and they felt better knowing letting Shiloh pick out the clothes she wants to wear, and just not making a big deal about it, is the best thing."
In 2010, Angelina told Vanity Fair, "She (Shiloh) wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."
In 2008, Pitt told Oprah Winfrey Shiloh wanted to be called John.
