"Selena has a life coach with her at all times now," the insider told RadarOnline.com. "It is not like a sober coach because Selena's issues are much greater than just alcohol."
The source claimed her family and management team "wanted someone to be there for her at all times."
"Selena selected her life coach," the insider said. "She is doing well right now."
In addition to the life coach, Gomez, 26, is "going to therapy, working with a psychiatrist and is just trying to stay really active."

And her efforts appear to be working, as she was all smiles while on the hike. The actress rocked a Puma sweatshirt and workout pants.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Gomez checked out of rehab after completing a month stay for mental health issues. She checked into an East Coast treatment after dealing with an emotional breakdown. Before the stint, Gomez, who suffers from Lupus, was hospitalized for low white blood cell count one year after undergoing a kidney transplant. She has been open about her battle with anxiety and depression.
Hiking seems to be an outlet for Gomez, as she was recently spotted in the hills over the weekend.
