RFK Granddaughter Laid To Rest After Shocking Death: See Heartbreaking Photos

A funeral service was held for Robert F. Kennedy's granddaughter at a church close to the family’s Cape Cod compound on Monday, and RadarOnline.com has all the heartbreaking photos.
Saoirse Kennedy Hill was only 22 years old when she died August 1 of cardiac arrest after an alleged overdose.
She was found “unresponsive” at the family’s Hyannis Port, Mass. compound.
Friends, family and loved ones mourned the passing of the young woman at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, Mass., less than five miles away from the compound where Saoirse died.

So Sad

RadarOnline.com obtained images of Paul Hill, Saoirse’s father, inconsolable as he placed his hand on the hearse outside the church.
Laid To Rest

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a private burial was to follow the funeral Mass.
Tragic Ending

The hearse, which carried the young woman's casket, was escorted by police and arrived around 11 a.m., followed by friends and family members in cars and busses.
Saying Goodbye

Several of close relatives including Kick Kennedy, RFK Jr., Maria Shriver, and Kerry Kennedy were in attendance at the funeral.
Gone Too Soon

As RadarOnline.com readers know, a toxicology report is underway to determine the 22-year-old’s cause and manner of death after an autopsy completed on Friday revealed “no trauma inconsistent with lifesaving measures.”
Heartbreaking

The Barnstable Police and State Police detectives are still investigating Saoirse’s death. She was taken to Cape Cod Hospital on Aug. 1, where she was pronounced dead.

The Kennedys released a statement on Thursday following the tragic news.

“Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” the family stated. “Her life was filled with hope, promise and love.”

Saoirse was a student at Boston College.

She also attended Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, where she opened up about her mental health struggles in a heartbreaking 2016 essay for the school’s publication.
