Dad’s Home? Ryan Edwards Expected To Check Out Of Rehab Early After Son’s Birth

Ryan Edwards may be home from rehab sooner than expected. A source close to the former Teen Mom OG dad exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that he is expected to check out of rehab early after missing the birth of his son with wife Mackenzie.
As RadarOnline.com broke, Mackenzie gave birth to their son Jagger on Tuesday, October 9 around 12am after getting induced on October 8. Ryan’s parents Jen and Larry, and Mackenzie’s mother and father Terran and Bobby were at the hospital when she gave birth to the 7lbs and 1oz baby boy.
Although Ryan, 30, is expected to complete rehab for substance abuse issues around February or March, the insider alleged he might check out early. “He should be home for Thanksgiving,” the source said.
TMOG fans may have to wait to see photos of Jagger. “She wants photos out there, but she wants to wait for Ryan to get home,” the insider alleged. “She’s probably going to wait for Ryan to come home to release any photos.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Ryan is leaving treatment early. Maci Bookout’s baby daddy entered rehab after he was caught on camera slurring his words and falling asleep at the wheel in May 2017. He left treatment after 21 days instead of 30.
RadarOnline.com broke earlier this month that Edwards entered rehab about a month ago. “Mackenzie moved out of the lake house they were in and is now living with the parents,” the insider alleged. “He isn’t supposed to be out until February or March.”
Ryan, who was fired from Teen Mom OG, was issued a citation in March 2017 for simple possession of heroin. Police confiscated 14 hypodermic needles, one of which contained heroin. He was arrested in March 2018 for petition to revoke after failing a drug test in January 2018. He tested positive for opiates and morphine in a urine sample. He was arrested again in July 2018 for breaking probation from a past possession of heroin charge. He was sentenced in both cases.
Jagger joins Ryan’s son Bentley, 9, with Bookout and Mackenzie’s son Hudson from a previous marriage. Both boys have visited their little brother in the hospital, the insider said.
