In the premiere trailer for the new season, Frankel, 45, freaked out about having to undergo surgery for a mystery health crisis. "It's one of those things that's very common with women," Radziwill told RadarOnline.com at the B Floral event held at Studio Arte in NYC on April 7. "She was very honest and direct about it. We filmed at doctors' offices. I think she was as vulnerable as I've ever seen her."

Watching her good friend go through such a trying time was not easy for Radziwill. "When you're scared is because you're not quite sure what it is and then you are just like, 'What's going on here?'" Radziwill said.

"It's no joke. You have to be careful about that stuff, and you have to take care of yourself," she continued. "But once she figured out what it was and how to take care of it, it was better."

Radziwill helped Frankel through all of it. "I went to a few doctors with her and tried to do research and give my opinion," she noted. "But ultimately, she made her own decision."

But while Frankel battled her health crisis, she also still worried about her costars. In the first episode, Bethenny Frankel commented about new girl Jules Wainstein's weight and suggested that she might have a problem.

According to Radziwill, Frankel did this because of her mother's own history with eating disorders. "I think Bethenny legitimately said how she felt," she said. "And also, I didn't know this until we talked about it this year: Bethenny's mother had a very bad eating disorder, so she's very familiar with the signs of that."

"So I think that's what prompted her to notice it and say something," Radziwill said. "And Dorinda Medley agreed."

She likes Medley, 51. "We had that amazing trip to London, and we shared a lot of things that I've never shared with anybody," Radziwill said. "We'll always have that. She's a very clever woman. She's someone that I could see developing a deeper friendship with."

Radziwill is also happy for Ramona Singer, 59, who is moving on from her divorce. "Ramona lost 180 pounds or however much Mario weighed, and she is as light as a feather," she said. "I think she more than anyone, the audience will see a big change in her. She's kind of chill."
