Davidson, 25, has been open about his battles with marijuana addiction. After an extended absence from Saturday Night Live in 2017, he told fans: “I quit drugs and am happy and sober for the first time in 8 years.” Unfortunately, though he considered himself a “lucky man,” he would continue to struggle.

“I found out I have BPD, which is borderline personality disorder,” he explained, adding he treats the problem with therapy and medication. “One of my psychiatrists diagnosed me. He was always saying before this big meltdown, ‘You’re probably bipolar or borderline, we’re just going to have to figure it out.’ … I’m depressed all the time.” He added:

“This has been the worst year of my life, getting diagnosed with this and trying to figure out how to learn with this and live with this.”

Before his broken engagement with Ariana Grande, Davidson admitted he was a loser in love. Recently, it was reported he popped the question to his ex, Cazzie David, 24, more than once, but she said no every time. They broke up last May, and he began seeing Grande soon after.
