“Blade Runner” Oscar Pistorius is out of prison after being convicted for the killing of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Oscar Pistorius was released from prison on October 19, 2015, one day earlier than expected, after serving just eleven months for the killing of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day in 2013.

The stunning 29-year-old model was brutally shot in the bathroom of his South African home. The Blade Runner claimed he thought she was an intruder when he fired his gun through the locked door.

The Olympian, 28, will serve the rest of his five-year sentence on house arrest. He is banned from owning firearms. He will reportedly be spending his sentence at his uncle’s mansion in Pretoria.

Steenkamp’s mother spoke about her disappointment in the shortened sentence. “For our beautiful daughter — for anyone's life — it's definitely not long enough,” she told South Africa’s You Magazine. “She was robbed of her future, her career, her chance to get married and have a baby.”
