Orlando killer Omar Mateen was secretly laid to rest on Wednesday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Mateen was buried on Wednesday, his father, Seddique Mir Mateen told reporters yesterday.

Mateen, who was shot and killed by Orlando police during a three-hour standoff, is buried in the Muslim Cemetery of South Florida in Hialeah Gardens.

According to the cemetery’s Facebook page, it is the only Muslim burial grounds in Florida. It is located just under three hours from the Mateen’s Fort Pierce home.

Mateen was picked up from the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office by his father on Monday, death records show.

As of now, it is unclear if the elder Mateen or any of his other family members attended the burial service.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Mateen killed 49 people and injured over 50 more after he open fired in the crowded gay nightclub, Pulse, on June 13.

Yesterday, a man claiming to be one of Mateen’s gay ex-lovers suggested that the heinous killing spree was an act of revenge, not terror. The FBI is still investigating the incident.
While his father denies that Mateen was gay, he too has speculated Mateen’s motive for the shocking crime. Seddique told NBC, "I don't know why he did it. He is dead, so I can't ask him. I wish I knew."
