But years later, during O.J.'s trial, Kris pledged her allegiance to Nicole, even donning maternity clothes that Nicole gave her in the courtroom and naming her daughter (with second husband Bruce Jenner) Kendall Nicole, after her friend.
Though Kris was very clear about her doubts regarding O.J.'s innocence, the reality star's close relationship with the former athlete before the murder case caused rumors to swirl of an affair, In Touch reported.

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine earlier this week, 60-year-old Kris shared her belief that Nicole's death "could have been prevented."
"I saw all the pictures and the police reports and I heard tapes of Nicole calling 911," she told the magazine. "I beat myself up because I felt like I wasn't paying attention. Like, how did I miss this? But that's typical in an abusive relationship — that the woman doesn't speak out about how she's being treated." However, the Kardashian “momager” also admitted that she would like to protect O.J.’s children (pictured here) from any negative attention, despite her opinion of the tarnished sports star.

Weeks before Nicole’s tragic murder, the two families hit the golf course in Palm Springs, where O.J. was accompanied by then-girlfriend Paula Barbieri.

Meanwhile, the new drama series detailing the O.J. Simpson trial will include a portrayal of Kris Jenner (Selma Blair) and Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer), which the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star admits is "more scary" than seeing herself on a reality show.
