It's a mystery who visited and contacted Frankel, 47, in the aftermath of Shields' shocking death. As RadarOnline.com has reported, Bravo has silenced her RHONY co-stars in the wake of the news, according to a source.
The banker was Frankel's on-again, off-again beau since 2016. Shields, 51, was found dead of a suspected overdose on Friday, August 10, 2018 about 9 a.m. in his million-dollar Trump Tower apartment in New York.
Frankel is living a nightmare. The New York Post reported that her businessman boyfriend-- and RHONY guest star -- had allegedly overdosed on prescription pills. Shields reportedly asked his assistant to administer Narcan, which treats opiate overdoses, when he realized his life was in danger. But it was too late.
According to an exclusive RadarOnline.com source, Shields' passing came after Frankel had dumped him. Shields, who had long been separated from his wife, was thinking of proposing to the reality TV beauty, the insider said. "He bought a ring and took her to dinner to feel her out and it became obvious to him that she’d never marry him and it left Dennis heartbroken."
A friend of the couple told RadarOnline.com, "Dennis was head over heels in love with Bethenny. He died with a broken heart." On a recent episode of RHONY, Frankel announced that she was taking a break from Shields, saying, "I am going 90 days without talking to Dennis."
Shields claimed in what was likely his final interview that he and Frankel had still been together about four weeks before he did the "Listen Up Show" podcast.
"We have been together on and off," the businessman admitted in the chat that sounds eerie after his bizarre death at his Trump Tower apartment.
