One of Ali's daughters, Hana, tweeted that Ali was surrounded by his children, who chanted Islamic prayer, for his last moments alive.

Even after Ali's organs failed, the boxing champ's heart continued to beat for another 30 minutes. "A true testament to the strength of his Spirit and Will," his daughter tweeted.

Later, Gunnell announced that Ali died at 9:10 MT, due to septic shock from natural causes, saying, "He did not suffer."
