Fan Bingbing Post First Photos Of Her Movie Star Face After Secret Chinese Jail Stint

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing posted two photographs of her movie star face months after being secretly locked up in a Chinese prison for tax evasion. The highest-paid actress from the communist country was jailed in 2018 for allegedly hiding millions. Bingbing appeared in the American blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past but disappeared from the public after the scandal was made public. After not being seen for almost a year, Bingbing shared the close-up photos of her face with a Chinese New Year greetings. “Wishing everyone a happy new year and healthy and healthy! Love you guys,” Bingbing wrote on her Instagram page on February 4, 2019.
She disappeared from the public after May 2018 and The Guardian newspaper reported that the state-run Chinese newspaper Securities Daily stated Bingbing had been put “under control” after hiding her real salary from the government in a plot called “yin-yang contracts,” where she only revealed a portion of her movie star salary.

“As a public figure, I should have abided by laws and regulations, and been a role model in the industry and society,” she said in a bizarre apology after she was released from jail in October 2018.
“I shouldn’t have lost self-restraint or become lax in managing (my companies), which led to the violation of laws, in the name of economic interests,” Bingbing said in her carefully worded apology.
